Life is beautiful,
purposeful,
bountiful,
and so very precious
but fleeting, like a vapor in the wind
held in the mighty hand of God
completely and solely at the mercy of His will.
We can get so very busy in life.
Laundry to be washed,
garden to tend,
bread should be in the oven,
but the baby needs to be fed RIGHT NOW
theres the phone ringing {again}
and the chickens are squawking about something
hurry, hurry through breakfast
got to plant before the rain moves in
school work is behind...
"Martha, Martha"
but there is so much to be done, I think I'm going to scream!
"Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things."
Convictions come swiftly and effectively. When was the last time I sat down at the feet of Jesus and listen to His word?
Sit, rest,
be still and know that He is God.
"But one thing is needful; and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall be taken away from her."
Luke 10:42
We all tend to be "Martha" and seem to only be "Mary" on Sundays.
It is so simple.
Choose that good part,
sit down at the feet of Jesus,
listen to His word
and it shall not be taken away from you.
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.
Psalm 27:4
