Since Presidents Day has just past, I thought I would leave y'all with a few thought provoking quotes from our Founding Fathers. Let us never forget what what our country was founded on , or what made it great...

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by christians... not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
- Patrick Henry

"It is impossible to rightly govern... without God and the Bible."
-George Washington

"I think we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industries."
- Thomas Jefferson 1824

"... All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise, not from the defects in thier Constitution or confederation, not from want of honor or virtue, so much as from downright ingnorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation..."
- John Quincy Adams, 1829

" If ever this vast country is brought under a single government, it will be one of the most extensive corruptions."
- Thomas Jefferson 1822

"Niether the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt."
- Samuel Adams

  1. Great post! I especially like that quote by Jefferson- "too many parasites living on the labor of the industries". I had never heard that one before.

You may have already seen this, but here is a video we took when we went up to the cave with the Lees.
